Alicia
Alicia started practicing Beauty Therapy in 1984 with a local Wondai salon. She then progressed later to do a Hairdressing and Nail Technician course. After having her first child, Gary, in 1989 she decided to make it a little easier juggling a baby and work and started her business at her home in Murgon. She opened for business in 1990 working out of her garage which she modified to suit her needs. August 1991 saw the birth of her 2nd child Candace who enjoyed spending time with mums clients while she was working. Alicia added to her relaxation massage knowledge and did a sports massage course in 1994 from which proved a great success with her current clients and opened the door to many more. After 18 years of working at home Alicia decided she wanted to give Murgon something a little special, something which locals previously had to travel away for. She decided to open a Day Spa! Having grown up and worked in Murgon Alicia knew that she could offer many more sought after services if she had a bigger place from which to work. So after much deliberation and planning Alicias shop started being built across from the Lily Pond in 2008. Alicia had the shop built from the ground up to accommodate her needs and wants, to give Murgon the Ultimate in Spa Therapy, Hair, Massage, Beauty and so much more. The builder kept telling her she was over compensating how big the building was going to be! Alicias Spa & Hair Worx officially opened in June 2009 and has been every bit as successful as anticipated. She currently employs 5 other staff, not including herself. Alicia believes the fruits of her labour are her satisfied clients.
Gina
Gina has been with us since we opened in 2009, having previously worked in Toowoomba for a number of years. Originating from a local farming family, Gina loves the country lifestyle and people. She is always trying her best to please her clients in any way possible. Gina specialises in curly hair and extensions. What Gina lacks in height she makes up in attitude!
Candace
Candace began work as our office manager in November 2009, whilst doing a traineeship in Business. She has since completed her Body Piercing Course in January 2010 and is currently studing Certificate 4 in Beauty Therapy. Candace specialises in all your piercing requirements, waxing, manicures, pedicures and facials.
Chelsea
Chelsea is our 3rd year apprentice Hairdresser and does an amazing job with each and every client. Chelsea is also a qualified Relaxation Massage Therapist, so if you need some down time, dont hesitate to book in! Chelsea might come across quiet, but just wait 'til you get her talking!
Roberta
Roberta has been with us since June 2009 and works Thursdays . She specializes in manicures, pedicures and waxing. Roberta ensures that her clients leave feeling pampered, refreshed and wanting to rebook. Dont get cheeky to her or you might get talked into a Brazilian!
